Industrial Site Installations
PVE have a broad history of experience in the fabrication and installation of piping, equipment and structures, having worked on many sites and construction projects in the industrial sector. PVE’s management team is experienced in planning, estimating, cost management, procurement, quality assurance and healthy & safety management.
Modernised Approach
PVE utilises a digital cloud-based project management software. This allows all stakeholders to oversee and conduct work in a streamlined and digitsed process. This is a central hub for Project Management, H&S Management and Quality Management. We are also able to provide clients with automated progress reports, real-time insights into progress monitoring and have the ability to remotely collaborate with PVE staff.
CAD Drafting and Modeling
Our skilled team utilises multiple CAD programs to produce construction drawings, piping isometrics and 2D profiles for laser cutting.
Coded, automated & specialised welding
PVE has a large inventory of certified welding procedures that meet applicable codes. PVE has orbital tig and mig equipment for fully and semi-automated pipe welding from 25nb up to flat in any wall thickness.
At PVE we specialise in corrosion resistant materials like titanium, duplex and other wear resistant alloys. We can assist with the correct implementation and fabrication of exotic materials and overlays to ensure longevity and preventative maintenance.
Workshop Fabrication
PVE has a well equipped workshop based in Tauranga, New Zealand where we undertake our manufacturing projects, pre-fabrication, pipe spooling work and general fabrication projects.
Code & Compliance
PVE has a strong commitment to workplace health & safety. We comply with all legislation regulations and industry codes of practice to eliminate and manage workplace hazards as they arise. PVE is a Site Safe member and is both Prequal and Totika scheme assessed.

Fonterra buffer manifold upgrade
The main valve manifold in the foods department redline was replaced with a new manifold. The project consisted of the disconnection and removal of the old manifold, followed by the fabrication, installation and commissioning of the replacement manifold.
This was installed and commissioned over a 4-day period. The new manifold allows for more user-friendly serviceability and maintenance. Installation as per Fonterra engineering standards (FES).
Maersk Cold storage Facility
PVE was engaged as the main contractor for the piping and mechanical installation for Maersk’s 45,000m2 cold storage facility in the Ruakura Superhub. The facility is the largest Co2 refrigeration system of it’s kind in the world. PVE installed the refrigeration skids, glycol system, high pressure Co2 pipework and valve stations. PVE performed over 3500 stainless steel schedule 80 welded joints to ASME b31.5 with a 100% NDT success rate. PVE coordinated the project management, H&S management and QA/QC with a complete inspection and test plan and digital traceability documentation package.
Higgins Plant Upgrades
As part of a council initiative to increase air quality to Mount Manganui’s industrial areas, PVE was engaged to undertake major upgrades to the Higgins asphalt plant. PVE increased the exhaust stack height with a larger sections, designed and built new wet scrubber and de-mister vessels and installed new stainless ducting. Fabrication was conducted at the PVE workshop and installation was conducted over two planned shutdowns to minimise production loss.
